What you give your attention to is what grows. This unit helps you find the time leaks and make sure you focus on the right things.

Most productivity advice skips straight to systems and tactics. This unit starts somewhere different, with the stories you’re carrying about who you are, how you work, and what you’re allowed to want. Because those stories shape everything that comes after them.

This isn’t about becoming a different person. It’s about getting honest about how you currently spend your time, what’s quietly shaping your identity as a result, and what small shifts would help you spend more of it on what actually matters to you. The Time Pie framework is the anchor here, a way of looking at your time that includes unpaid work, lost time, and the parts that most productivity advice pretends don’t exist.

It’s the first of the four foundational units, and it sets the tone for everything else.

Who this is for

Anyone who feels like they’re doing a lot but not quite the right things. People who know what they want but keep not making space for it. Anyone carrying old stories about being disorganised, not a morning person, not disciplined enough, who suspects those stories might be doing more damage than they’ve realised.

What you’ll cover

Three things that shape how we spend our time: the time itself, the stories we tell ourselves about it, and the boundaries that protect it. You’ll look at your time pie, work out where your attention is actually going versus where you want it to go, and explore what mindset shifts might need to happen before any system will stick.

What’s included

A full video training (around 30 minutes)

A vision-setting journaling sheet

Journaling prompts around time, stories, and boundaries

A productivity personality framework

Recommended videos for going deeper on identity and attention

Ready to start spending your time differently?

You don’t need to overhaul who you are. You need to get honest about where your attention is going, and make a few deliberate choices about where it should go instead. This unit gives you the foundation to do that.

Add it to your Steady Hub bundle and save, or pick it up on its own and get started today.

Want to make life’s everyday tasks easier? Vitamins? Check. Water? Check. Laundry on? Check. Your days probably have more rhythm in them than you think. This unit helps you make it intentional.

A day that feels chaotic and a day that feels manageable often aren’t that different on paper. The difference is usually having a loose shape to return to when things go sideways, something that holds the things that need to happen and makes room for the things you actually want to do.

This unit is about understanding your natural daily rhythms, when your energy is highest, what already anchors your day, and how to build around those things rather than fight them. It covers the thinking and the framework, including a snapshot of the Time Buckets method. If you want the full Time Buckets system, templates, app and GPT, that’s available as a separate pack.

Most people don’t need a rigid schedule. They need a flexible structure that holds the things that need to happen and makes room for the things they actually want to do. The difference between a day that feels chaotic and a day that feels manageable is usually less about time and more about having a loose shape to return to when things go sideways.

Who this is for

Anyone who feels like their day disappears without a clear sense of where it went. People who want to do things more consistently but keep not getting around to them. Anyone who has tried rigid routines and abandoned them within a fortnight.

Especially useful if you’re neurodivergent, have caring responsibilities, or get interrupted constantly. Because scheduling ‘deep work’ and ‘habit stacking’ often don’t work for us.

If you sit down to work and spent 32 minutes scrolling Instagram, try this instead.

If you sit down to work and somehow an hour disappears before you’ve done anything real, if your brain feels like it has seventeen tabs open at all times, if you know what you need to do but just can’t seem to start — this one’s for you.

Focus isn’t just about discipline. It’s shaped by your environment, your nervous system, the thousand things running through your head, the mess you can see from where you’re sitting, and whether the task feels so overwhelming you’d rather do literally anything else. Modern life is genuinely very good at scattering our attention — and if you have caring responsibilities, a neurodivergent brain, or kids who can interrupt you at any moment, that’s even more true.

This unit starts by asking why you’re struggling to focus, because you can’t fix something if you don’t know what’s causing it. Then it gives you a practical framework — the ABCs of a good focus session — that covers everything from arranging your environment to grounding your nervous system to incentivising yourself at the end. It also covers lost time: the hours that disappear through scrolling, overthinking, perfectionism, and distraction, and what to do about them.

Who this is for

Anyone who struggles to focus consistently, especially if you’re neurodivergent, ADHD, or just living a very full life with very little uninterrupted time. Also useful if you know what you need to do but keep finding yourself not doing it, and can’t quite work out why.

The ABCs of a good focus session — a nine-part framework covering: arranging your environment, brain dumping first, clarifying the task, defining the time container, easing anxiety, focusing on the end goal, grounding your body, holding the focus, and incentivising yourself at the end. Plus a section on lost time — where it actually goes and what questions to ask yourself to start reclaiming it.

What’s included

A full video training (around 30 minutes)

A printable ABCs of a good focus session reference sheet

Transition trio ideas to help your brain shift between modes

An introduction to Stop the Spiral, the free productivity tool built around this method

Guidance on phone blockers, accountability tools like Focusmate, and practical ways to hold focus once you’ve found it

Ready to actually get things done?

You’ve probably already tried just trying harder. This unit takes a different approach — working out what’s actually getting in the way, and giving you a framework that works even on the days when focus feels impossible.

Everything you need to do, in one place, and out of the void between your brain and your to-do list. In a way that just makes sense.

Most people have some version of a task list. The problem is that most task lists are a chaotic mix of one-off tasks, things that need to happen weekly, ideas that haven’t become actions yet, and half-remembered things that should really belong to someone else. It all ends up in the same place, nothing has a priority, and things fall through the cracks.

This unit gives you a simple, functional system for managing all of it — one-off tasks, recurring tasks, larger projects, shared tasks, and ideas — so that everything has a place to live and you can actually trust your list to hold things for you.

It also covers weekly planning and daily focus, because once you know what needs doing, you need a way to fit it into your actual week without it becoming another source of stress.

Who this is for

Anyone whose current task system isn’t quite working, whether that’s endless lists that never get cleared, things constantly slipping through the cracks, or just too many different places where tasks live. Works really well alongside the Daily Rhythms and Routines unit, and pairs naturally with the Focus and Lost Time unit too.

A Notion task management template with a rolling to-do list, recurring tasks, and weekly focus sections

A separate walkthrough video showing you exactly how to use the Notion template

A shortcuts tutorial so you can add tasks to your list in seconds from your phone

Guidance on how to build a simple task stack using whatever tools work for you, Notion, Apple Notes, a notebook, or a combination

Ready to finally have a to-do list and weekly plan system that helps you keep on top of things?

You don’t need a perfect system or the right app. You need something functional, something you can maintain on a low energy day, and something that actually holds all the things so your brain doesn’t have to. This unit gives you that — plus a way to turn your task list into a weekly plan that works with your life rather than against it.

Add it to your Steady Hub bundle and save, or pick it up on its own and get started today.

Mental load, physical load, invisible labour. Use this pack to help even it out.

Most people know about the mental load by now. Fewer people have actually managed to shift it. This unit won’t pretend that’s easy, or that a few systems will fix something that’s been years in the making. But it will give you some honest, practical ways to start making the invisible visible, and to work out what fair could actually look like in your relationship and your home.

I also make recommendations on where to start to find more information. I am not an expert in this subject specifically; my expertise lies in productivity and systems, but I cannot speak about those neutrally and pretend that sharing the load does not matter.

This unit is for people in relationships where there’s already mutual respect and a willingness to change. If you can have a conversation about this and be heard, these tools can help. If you’ve had conversation after conversation and nothing shifts, there’s bigger work to do that sits outside what any system can fix, and that’s acknowledged honestly in the video.

One important thing to say upfront: this is not suitable for people who are in a relationship where it is not emotionally or physically safe to bring up conversations like this.

And if you’re not in a partnership, or you’re managing things alone right now, this one isn’t for you right at this minute, I’ve got plenty of others for you.

Who this is for

Anyone who suspects they’re carrying more than their fair share, of the physical tasks, the mental planning, or both. People who want to start having better conversations about it but aren’t sure where to begin. Anyone who has tried to redistribute the load and wants some practical frameworks for making it actually stick.

What you’ll cover

Four steps: making the load visible, so you and your partner can actually see what’s being carried. Deciding what fair looks like to you, not the bare minimum, but what would genuinely feel like an equal partnership. Having the conversations, including what those conversations should and shouldn’t have to look like. And setting up systems together, or deciding which parts are theirs to figure out, not yours.

What’s included

A full video training

A weekend reset template to use together

Recommended accounts and resources to go deeper

Practical ideas for splitting tasks by time of day, by area, and by full ownership

Ready to start shifting the balance?

You’re not asking for too much. You’re not bad at communicating. And you shouldn’t have to keep making the case for your own time and energy. This unit won’t fix everything, but it gives you a clearer picture of what you’re carrying, what you want instead, and some practical ways to start getting there.

Practical kids’ routines, visual schedules and regulation tools for smoother family days.

If the days feel reactive and relentless, if transitions are a battleground, if you’re craving more connection but drowning in the logistics of just getting through — this one’s for you.

When things are going well with your kids, everything feels more spacious. When they’re dysregulated, anxious, overwhelmed, or resistant, it affects sleep, energy, focus, your relationships, and how manageable the whole day feels. You already know this. What’s harder to know is what to actually do about it.

This unit isn’t about optimising your children or running a perfectly structured household. It’s about having some practical ideas and tools to reach for when things feel hard, so that you feel more confident, and so that the day has a little more ease in it. Sometimes that means dropping all demands and just being present. And sometimes it means a gentle routine or a visual that helps everyone move through the day with less friction. This unit helps you work out which is which.

A note before you dive in: if you’ve tried everything and your child still won’t engage, that’s not a failure. Some seasons just need less, not more. Take what’s useful and leave the rest.

Who this is for

Parents of children of any age who want their days to run a little more smoothly. Particularly useful if you have neurodivergent children, if transitions are hard, if getting out of the house feels like a military operation, or if you’re home educating. Works alongside the Home & Cleaning unit because so much of this overlaps with how the home is set up.

What you’ll cover

Five areas: regulation, so starting with nervous systems before anything else. Routines, gentle ways to ease friction points without controlling. Home contributions, helping kids feel capable and included without pressure. Work and demands, supporting children through things they don’t want to do. And connection and play, because that’s what makes everything else actually work.

1. Regulation

2. Routines

3. Home contributions

4. Work and demands

5. Connection and play

What’s included

A full video training (just over an hour, there was a lot to share)

Body regulation box ideas and printable movement signs

Visual routine cards and templates including morning, evening and after-school routines

A leaving the house checklist

A weekly zone chart for kids to contribute to home tasks

Room reset checklists for kids

A homework breakdown sheet

Left brain, right brain focus activities

A child and parent fun menu template (this one is a favourite)

A weekly calendar template

A play ideas list

Want some doable, realistic ways to set up systems to support the whole family?

A regulated, smoother morning doesn’t just help your kids. It’s the difference between sitting down to work feeling okay, and sitting down to work still carrying the weight of how the last two hours went.

You don’t need a perfectly structured home or children who follow every routine without a reminder. You just need a few things in the right places that help you feel more confident, and help them feel safer. This pack gives you a lot of those things to pick from.

Add it to your Steady Hub bundle and save, or pick it up on its own and get started today

Food probably takes up more of your mental load than it should.

The average woman spends 11 to 14 hours a week on food planning, shopping and prep. That’s before you count the mental overhead of deciding what to make, checking what’s in the fridge, accounting for everyone’s preferences, and remembering to defrost something. It adds up to a significant chunk of your week, and most of it happens invisibly, in the background, whether you notice it or not.

And it’s one of the biggest places you can claw back real time, without waiting for anyone else to change.

So if you’re tired of answering “what’s for dinner” with existential dread, if food planning feels like a never-ending mental drain, if you wish you could just eat well without it taking over your head — this one’s for you.

This unit isn’t about cooking from scratch every day, eating perfectly, or becoming someone who loves meal prep. It’s about reducing decision fatigue, making food faster and easier, and reclaiming the mental space that’s currently being eaten up by the question of what to have for dinner on a Wednesday.

Who this is for

Anyone who holds most of the food work in their household and wants it to feel lighter. Families with different dietary needs, sensory preferences, or picky eaters. People who’ve tried meal planning before and given up because the system was too rigid, too complicated, or just too much effort to maintain. Anyone who wants a plan that works in real life, not just on a Sunday morning when you’ve got two hours and a clear head.

What you’ll cover

Three key areas: planning, shopping, and prepping. You’ll work out how to reduce decision fatigue before the week even starts, build a meal library of your actual favourites, set up a shopping process that stops things falling through the cracks, and work out which kind of meal prep actually fits the life you have right now. You don’t need a full system. You just need the right amount of one.

What’s included

A full video training (around 40 minutes, packed with practical process not theory)

A Notion meal planning template with a meal library, weekly planner, and shopping sections

A separate walkthrough video showing you exactly how to use the Notion template

Printable weekly menu planners in three formats: breakfast, lunch and dinner; lunch and dinner only; or dinner only

A meal builders framework for households with different tastes or dietary needs

Ready to make food feel less like a second job?

You’ve probably already got a rough system of sorts. This gives it a proper structure, takes the daily decision-making off your plate (so to speak), and means you can stop reinventing the dinner wheel every single week.

Add it to your Steady Hub bundle and save, or pick it up on its own and get started today.

Is keeping on top of your home making your eye twitch? Let me help you create a tidy enough, feel-good home.

If the house feels like it’s always on the verge, and keeping on top of it feels like a second job, this one’s for you.

There’s a lot of noise around home organisation. Either you need a perfectly decluttered, Pinterest-worthy space, or you’re being told to leave the dishes and not care. Neither of those is particularly helpful when you’ve got three loads of laundry waiting, kids making more mess faster than you can clear it, and a brain that genuinely cannot relax when the kitchen is a state.

This sits somewhere more honest than both of those extremes. Your home should support the life you want to live, and that looks different for everyone. What matters is working out what your version of “tidy enough” actually is, and building something light and repeatable around that.

Who this is for

Anyone who is stressed by mess but doesn’t love cleaning. Busy households, neurodivergent families, people who’ve tried home cleaning systems and abandoned them by week two. Solo parents, partnered parents who are carrying more than their share, people who just want to be able to find the scissors when they need them.

Five key areas of sustainable home organisation: daily and weekly maintenance, occasional deep cleaning, organisation, getting started when starting feels impossible, and joy and comfort. Because a home isn’t just something to manage. It’s somewhere you live, rest, and return to. And that second bit matters just as much as the first.

Laundry sorting visuals

Kids zone checklist

Cleaning tracking grids

Ready to build a home that actually works for you? That allows you to focus on your work in a tidy space?

You don’t need a perfect home cleaning system, you need one that works for you, fits around a full life, and doesn’t require you to become a different person to make it work. This pack gives you the thinking and the tools to build exactly that.

Add it to your Steady Hub bundle and save, or pick it up on its own and get started today.

The word ‘productivity’ and why so many of us have a visceral reaction to it

There’s a reason so many of us flinch at the word ‘productivity.’ Every week, in spaces across the internet, I see women share that their partners told them they just need to manage their time better. As if the problem is their calendar. As if the problem is them.

It’s been used to make us feel like the problem is always us. And that’s not an accident.

Women with no children do 2.3 times more housework than their male partners. So time management is not the problem there. Unfairness is. And yet, 46% of women experience burnout at work compared to 37% of men, and Black women in leadership are most affected, with rates rising to 80%, though of course it would be wrong to suggest bad productivity advice is the cause of that, when misogynoir is.

When an employer overloads their staff and refuses to hire more, they call it a time management problem instead of a capacity problem. They make it an individual problem. Very convenient.

You can’t systemise your way out of an impossible load to carry, at home or at work. And when the advice tells you that you can, it’s not just unhelpful, it’s actively harmful, because it puts the weight of a structural problem onto your shoulders and calls it self-improvement.

What happens when we try to follow the traditional advice anyway

Some of us do try and follow the traditional advice. We wake super early, use hacks upon hacks, endlessly try to optimise, hustle, whilst still trying to be the present and caring parents and humans we want to be. And it works, for a while, until it doesn’t. Until we burn out.

Much of the advice was clearly written by people who have no idea what we are actually managing. It’s for a different life than the one we are actually living, or want to be living. It falls flat for us, if not being actively harmful, because it wasn’t designed with our lives in mind.

There’s a difference between genuinely not using your time well and having an unfair amount of work. Traditional productivity advice tends to treat every problem like the first one. Which is why so much of it misses.

What we actually deserve instead

We deserve more of the good stuff. Advice that can distinguish between a discipline problem and a capacity problem, because those two things need completely different responses.

For the moments where there is something a good system can genuinely help with, where you do have some time and some agency and you want to use it well, that’s where something like Time Buckets comes in. It’s a flexible rhythm system, not a rigid schedule. It works around caring responsibilities rather than pretending they don’t exist, and it’s built for the life you’re actually living. You might also find it useful to read about the small things I do regularly to help life feel calmer, which is a gentler place to start if the word ‘system’ still makes you want to close the tab.

Naming the structural unfairness isn’t the end of the conversation. The unfairness is real, and we can still build rhythms that mean we’re not spending our limited energy on the wrong things. Both things are true at the same time. The practical tools we use aren’t a band-aid on a structural problem, they’re a form of dignity. We deserve systems that work for us.

So if you’re reading this thinking ‘I am so done with productivity advice, I don’t even want to hear the word’, totally fair. But if you want ideas on how to spend less time on things you don’t love so you have more for the things you do, you’re in the right place.

If you’re not sure where to start, Stop the Spiral is a free tool for when overwhelm kicks in and you can’t see clearly enough to know what actually matters.

Don’t do more. Do what matters. Do it differently.

When you’re home educating three kids and running a business, there are days that hum and days that slump. The energy dips are real — and if I’m not intentional about how I show up, the day can unravel pretty fast.

Over the years, I’ve collected a handful of small-but-mighty tools to either maintain momentum or shift the energy when things start to wobble. They’re not polished. They’re not perfect. But they work — for me, and for my family.

Here are five playful ways I reset or boost energy throughout the day:

1. I use made-up characters to guide the kids through tasks

Yes, I do the voices. Yes, it looks a bit mad. But honestly? It works.

Steve (from East London) helps with maths. Miss Maple takes over when it’s time to read. Tree — who, unsurprisingly, is a tree — can’t stand mess and somehow gets the kids to tidy faster than I ever could.

Creating imaginary characters adds a spark of novelty and makes the mundane more magical. It lightens the mood and often turns resistance into laughter.

2. I use drinks as mini rituals

Sometimes it’s a hot coffee. Sometimes it’s iced. Sometimes I just refill my water with a splash of lemon.

It’s less about the drink and more about what it signals: a small pause, a tiny anchor, a micro moment to reset. I often use drinks to bookend a transition — before starting a new task, after schoolwork, or when I switch into work mode.

3. We have personalised handshakes

Each of my kids and I have our own special handshake — and we pull them out in moments of motivation or celebration.

They’re silly. They’re fun. And they’re also a tiny tool for connection. Whether someone’s having a tough moment or just smashed a bit of work they’ve been stuck on, the handshake gives us a second of shared joy and encouragement.

(Also: my middle child and I once tried to record ours, and ended up crying with laughter. Worth it.)

4. I use what I call “Transition Trios”

This is a core part of my own rhythm system. A Transition Trio is a three-part routine I use to help myself move from one kind of energy to another. From mum mode to work mode. From teaching to resting. From overwhelmed to gently on track.

Each trio is personal — it might be:

☕ A coffee

🎵 A song I love

🧹 A quick tidy of one corner

These trios help me reset — and they help the kids too. If you want help creating your own, I’ve got a free Transition Trios toolkit here.

5. Doodles from the focus box

Doodling isn’t just for kids. It’s one of my go-to tools when I need to refocus myself or shift the mood.

We keep a box of focus tools handy, and little doodle prompts are one of them. They work beautifully as part of a Transition Trio — or just on their own when the energy is a bit frayed. Sometimes I join in with the kids. Sometimes I do it solo, with a drink in hand.

It’s a quick, no-pressure way to land back in the moment.

Download my most random Doodle Prompts freebie here.

Final thoughts

None of these ideas are revolutionary. But they are real, and they help us stay steady, connected, and a little more joyful in the middle of full, messy days.

If you’re a parent juggling home education, caregiving, or working from home with kids, having these tiny tools in your back pocket can make a real difference. The key is not to wait for things to fall apart – but to gently steer the energy before it nosedives.

And if you want help with that? Start with a Transition Trio. I made a whole toolkit to help, you can get your Transition Trio toolkit here!
