Routine-loving, chaos-wrangling,
business-owning, home-ed mum of 3
— not working out at 4am
I’ve always been drawn to beautiful design… and always wanted to be a mum too!
Whether I was 6-year-old and designing a make-believe mouse house, designing wedding stationery from my kitchen table or designing . My first business was a stationery company I built during nap times and sold a few years later. After that, I ran a branding studio, creating thoughtful design and strategy for small business owners who wanted their work to feel like home.
But now, my focus has shifted.
The conversations I was having were less about colour palettes and more about how to stay focused when life feels full. How to build a business that fits around real constraints. How to make space for what matters and still get the work done.
As life changed — with three kids, a move abroad, and a decision to home educate — my business changed too.
Unmuddled is the result. A rhythm-first approach to organising life and business that grew from everything I’d learned, tested, and lived through. It’s a place for people who want less pressure, more clarity, and systems that actually stick.
Don’t do more. Do what matters. Do it differently.
Things I know for sure
There’s plenty I’m not sure about, that I could be persuaded about, but these things I know for certain.
☻ 4 am wake-ups aren’t essential to a smooth day.
Structure, rhythm and focus can exist without early alarms and hustle mode. You get to build your days in a way that works for your real energy and real life.
☻ Life & business should support each other — not compete.
It’s not either or, it’s BOTH. You don’t have to compromise, you can have as good and makes an impact. But without the right words, your visual branding means nothing.
☻ You’re allowed to want joy, rest and results.
You’re not here to just survive the day. You’re here to live it, build what matters, and actually enjoy the life and business you’re working so hard to create.
☻ Start where you are, and release the shame.
Shaming ourselves doesn’t make us try harder, it makes us freeze. Moving through it is essential to making progress.
It doesn’t make us more organised, more patient, more productive, or more present. It just makes us feel stuck and small.
☻ People matter more than profit.
More than systems, borders, or plans. Every life holds equal value, and that truth should guide how we live, work, and care for each other.
If you’re tired or overwhelmed, it’s not because you’re failing. It’s because the systems are. You were never the problem
☻ There’s no one right way to do this.
There’s no perfect schedule, no universal formula.
No perfect planner.
You get to decide what matters most and how you want to shape your life and work around it.
